About this perennial

Hypericum calycinum is a low-growing dwarf shrub that flowers for a long time and produces clusters of brownish-red berries in autumn. The berry clusters are also nice to pick for an autumn arrangement or wreath. In winter, the plant is semi-evergreen. A plant that you can enjoy all year round, and which is very suitable for the front of a border or as ground cover for large planting areas.

CARE

In the autumn, apply some organic fertilizer. In spring, prune back to about 10 cm above the ground. Also apply some organic fertilizer then to stimulate growth and flowering.<!--en--><!--en-->Divide the plant every 4-5 years and replant the young sections to keep the plant healthy.
SPOT IN THE GARDEN

Hypericum prefers to be planted in the ground and needs some space to grow. Place it at the front of a border or allow it to spread in a planter among other perennials. The plant likes dry soil, so ensure good drainage. It is very hardy and remains partially green throughout the winter.

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.

Are you also ordering peonies in pre-order in the same order? Then your order will be delivered in two packages. The peonies will be shipped between October 12 and October 25, 2026. You can choose a shipping week for the peonies during checkout; this will be indicated under the shipping method.
