Welcome to Clay & Roots! We are Marc and Iris de Jong, growers and owners of this webshop. We are married and live in Aalten.

We started Clay & Roots from a shared passion for growing, entrepreneurship, and connecting with others. Our profession is so beautiful, but not always visible. We want to change that. By selling plants from our nursery and those of our fellow growers directly to you, we skip many steps in the chain. This way, we want to make our profession more visible and accessible.

The best part of our profession is working with the different seasons. Throughout the year, the tasks at the nursery vary.

There is an enormous amount of craftsmanship and knowledge involved in properly cultivating a plant with attention to nature. Through social media, we can give you a behind-the-scenes look and show you what happens at the nursery.

Traditionally, growers work closely together to share knowledge and collectively offer a more complete range of plants. After all, everyone has their own specialties. That's why we collaborate with our colleagues for Clay & Roots, and we expand these collaborations every year.

We are very proud of these great collaborations and in this way, we can offer you a beautiful assortment of perennials, directly from our nurseries!
