CARE

The Allium Millenium is a perennial plant. Unlike allium bulbs, this plant has rhizomes, similar to other perennials.

Allium Millenium is an easy-to-care-for perennial. It doesn't spread aggressively, so it requires little maintenance. In autumn, you can cut off the spent flowers if you don't want the seeds to disperse throughout the garden. Alternatively, you can cut them off in early spring. At that time, also apply some organic fertilizer to stimulate growth. After flowering, the foliage remains beautifully green. With a height between 40 and 50 centimeters, no support is needed. It is very frost-hardy, so no extra protection is required in winter.

SPOT IN THE GARDEN

The Allium Millenium thrives in full sun, but partial shade is also acceptable. It prefers well-drained soil. If the soil is very compact or heavy, you can mix it with sand or compost to make it airier and more permeable. When planting, mix some fresh potting soil into the existing soil for extra nutrients. Do not plant the Allium too deeply; there should be a thin layer of 2 to 3 centimeters above the rootstock.<!--en--><!--en-->The Allium Millenium also does well in a pot. Ensure the pot is deep enough, at least 30 cm. This provides the roots with ample space to grow. It is also important that the pot does not retain too much water and that excess water can drain well.
