About this perennial

Alchemilla mollis Aulese is also known as Lady's Mantle in the Netherlands. It is a beautiful ground cover and a nice compact perennial for the front of your border. Alchemilla self-seeds in your garden. If you want to prevent the plant from spreading, cut off the flowers before they can self-seed. The soft yellow flowers are also great for picking for a bouquet from your own garden.

CARE

In winter, the leaves die back completely. In early spring, cut away old leaves and flowers to encourage new growth. Then also provide some organic fertilizer.

Cut off flowers when they are spent so that the plant cannot self-seed.

After flowering, the plant may look a bit poor. You can prune it back vigorously, and the plant will produce new leaves that look fresh again.

Alchemilla is widely used by garden designers for the front of borders and as groundcover. It is a vigorous perennial that also produces cheerful flowers in the summer. Give Alchemilla a spot in partial shade to full sun and ensure a moderately moist, but well-drained soil.

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.
