With a Plume Spirea in your garden or on your balcony, you can continue to enjoy its beautiful flowers. If you cut them back in early spring, new flowers will grow back!

Care
You can plant this plant in a pot or directly in the ground. If you choose a pot, make sure you buy one that is about 25 cm in diameter at its widest point, at the top. Always choose a permeable pot with drainage holes at the bottom, so that excess (rain)water can never accumulate. In addition, preferably do not choose a terracotta pot, as these absorb a lot of water. With sufficient space, the plant will grow 80 to 100 cm tall.
The Plume Spirea needs a lot of water and thrives best in a spot with partial shade or shade, receiving a maximum of 4 hours of sun per day. Make sure the plant gets enough water, especially during the flowering period. Always water in the evening during summer to reduce the risk of the plant burning.
Fertilize the plant in spring to stimulate growth. If you leave the flowers on the plant, they and the leaves will die back in autumn. The dead flowers can still provide a beautiful decorative effect to your autumn garden. Cut off the old flowers in spring, however, before new growth begins.
Winter Care
The Plume Spirea is frost-hardy and does not require extra protection during the winter season.
Flowers
Even in a pot, the Plume Spirea produces beautiful flowers. In the first year, you can expect 2 or 3 stems. If you cut these back in early spring, even more flowers will replace them. The longer you have the plant and the more space it gets, the more flowers it will produce. Each year, the plant will grow larger and stronger.
