About this perennial

Salvia officinalis is the type of sage used in the kitchen. In addition, this species is also used in traditional medicine. The officinalis originates from the Mediterranean region and therefore loves a lot of sun and relatively dry soil. This species is nice to have in the garden because of its wonderful scent. With its long flowering period from June to August, you will enjoy this beautiful plant for a long time.

CARE

Sage is a strong plant that grows and flowers easily. It requires little maintenance, making it a great plant for your border or balcony. Cut the flowers from the plant to encourage new blooms. Choose the right spot in the garden: Salvia prefers full sun and well-drained soil.

In autumn, the flowers die off, and you can leave the remaining stems on the plant. In early spring, you can remove them if desired. Also, provide some organic fertilizer to stimulate growth. The plant is very hardy.

Salvia grows well in both a pot and in the ground. It is a beautiful plant for your border that also attracts many bees and butterflies. The plant thrives in full sun and quickly produces many flowers. Ensure relatively dry and well-draining soil.

Delivery

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.

Are you also ordering peonies in pre-order in the same order? Then your order will be delivered in two packages. The peonies will be shipped between October 12 and October 25, 2026. You can choose a shipping week for the peonies during checkout; this will be indicated under the shipping method.
