About this perennial

Helleborus, also known as Christmas Rose, is one of the first flowers you'll discover in your garden in the new year. This beautiful perennial remains compact and can be planted both in the ground and in a large pot. It's a lovely addition to your garden to enjoy some greenery and flowers during the winter.

CARE

When the first flowers appear in January, you can remove any old, unsightly leaves. After flowering, provide some organic fertilizer to nourish the plant. Do not move the Helleborus during its flowering period. If you wish to relocate it, do so in autumn.
SPOT IN THE GARDEN

Plant the Helleborus in a sheltered spot with partial shade in normal to dry soil. You can also plant it in a pot, but choose a deep pot so the roots have enough space.

The plants from Kwekerij Jan (our own P9 nursery) are grown with great care. The plants are grown in organic soil and nourished without artificial fertilizers. We reuse rainwater that we have collected in our basin. We use pots made from recycled material. Every year we take steps towards more sustainable cultivation. Delivery

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.

Are you also ordering peonies in pre-order in the same order? Then your order will be delivered in two packages. The peonies will be shipped between October 12 and October 25, 2026. You can choose a shipping week for the peonies during checkout; this will be indicated under the shipping method.
