Brunnera Jack Frost is best known for its silvery leaves. The name Jack Frost is so fitting because it looks as if there is frost on the leaves. In the Netherlands, Brunnera is also called Caucasian forget-me-not. Caucasian because of its origin and forget-me-not because of the small blue flowers that resemble forget-me-nots.

Brunnera does not like full sun and is therefore very suitable as a shade plant under a tree or in another dark corner of the garden. Place it at the front of your border or under a tree as a stylish ground cover.

    CARE

    In the autumn, the foliage above ground dies back. In the spring, new shoots will emerge. Remove the old leaves to give the new shoots space. Then also apply some organic fertilizer to stimulate flowering and growth. If you cut off the spent flowers, you have a good chance of a second bloom.
    SPOT IN THE GARDEN

    At the front of a shade border or under a tree or shrub as ground cover. Brunnera is an easy grower and thrives in a somewhat moist, but permeable soil. The plant also grows well in clay soil.
    HOMEGROWN - ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND SUSTAINABLE

    The plants from Kwekerij Jan (our own P9 nursery) are grown with great care. The plants are grown in organic soil and nourished without artificial fertilizers. We reuse rainwater that we have collected in our basin. We use pots made from recycled material. Every year we take steps towards more sustainable cultivation.     Delivery

    Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.

    Are you also ordering peonies in pre-order in the same order? Then your order will be delivered in two packages. The peonies will be shipped between October 12 and October 25, 2026. You can choose a shipping week for the peonies during checkout; this will be indicated under the shipping method.
