About this perennial

Phlox Laura produces beautiful dark pink flowers with a light center. This lovely perennial is an asset to your garden and flowers profusely. This variety also tolerates salty air near the coast well. You can encourage the plant to produce more flowers by cutting back the first stems in spring to one-third of the plant (+/- 15 cm). This stimulates lateral growth.

CARE

Phlox flowers very easily. If you leave the flowers on the plant, the flowers and leaves will die in winter. In early spring, cut away the old leaves and flowers to stimulate new growth. Also, apply some organic fertilizer.

In spring, you can cut back the first stems to a third of the plant (+/- 15 cm). This encourages the plant to produce more branches sideways, on which new flowers will grow.
SPOT IN THE GARDEN

Preferably, place the Phlox in a spot with full sun or some shade, directly in the ground. Ensure well-drained soil.

The Phlox is a strong plant and does not need support. It prefers a spot in full sun or partial shade, and ideally in somewhat airy soil. This can be achieved by spreading a layer of ornamental compost about 4 cm thick in the planting hole.

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.
