About this perennial

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Bleeding hearts' is a robust perennial that produces beautiful red-orange flowers. The flowers are bright red at first and change to orange to bronze during flowering. It produces many flowers and is a true summer bloomer from July to October. The flowers grow long and are very suitable for cutting.

Location Plant the Heliopsis in a spot with full sun. Ensure well-drained soil. The plant has an average water requirement. The plant is very winter hardy.
Planting plant immediately after receipt to prevent the root tuber from drying out.
CARE

Give some organic fertilizer in autumn. In spring, remove any remaining leaves and stems and also apply some organic fertilizer to stimulate growth.

Divide the plant every 4-5 years and replant the young divisions to keep the plant healthy.

Our P9 plants are available directly from stock. You can indicate in the shopping cart when you would like to receive your order.
